What is the best way to get from the airport to the National Arts Centre, Fairmont Chateau Laurier and Lord Elgin Hotel?
Airport Shuttle Bus
There is a direct shuttle bus service between the Airport and the three locations. The shuttle bus departs the Airport every half hour daily. Last departure: 01:10 am or until last flight. The shuttle bus is conveniently located outside the arrivals. The rate is $12.00 one way per person or $20.00 return per person and will take approximately 40 minutes.
Taxi from the Airport
The fare for a taxi would be between $25.00 and $30.00 and will take approximately 40 minutes.
I have not received a confirmation letter. What should I do?
If you just sent in a registration form within the past few days, it may take the registration team a while to process it, depending on the volume of registrations received. If you sent in your registration form a week ago or more, please contact us by email at and we will send you a new one.
I've registered for Arts & Performance, but I can no longer attend. Can I send someone else in my place?
It depends on your registration type.
If you registered at the Early Bird Rate, your registration is transferable before September 26 for a fee of $100 CDN.
After September 26, if you registered at the Early Bird Rate, your registration is transferable with an upgrade to the Full Rate, for a fee of $100 CDN.
If you registered at the Full Rate, your registration is transferable anytime for a fee of $100 CDN. Send your request in writing to .
I've registered for Arts & Performance, but can no longer attend. Can I get a refund and how?
It depends on your registration type.
The Early Bird Rate is non-refundable.
If you registered at the Full Rate, you may request a refund up until October 15. To receive the refund, send your request in writing to and it will be processed for a $100 CDN fee.
Where do I pick up my registration package?
Registered delegates may pick up their registration packages and badges in the lobby of the National Arts Centre during these times.

Social Events Questions
What do I wear to social events?
Dress for all the evening social events including the Opening Reception is business attire.
Do I need to bring my badge and tickets to social events?
All delegates must wear their badges and bring their tickets to social events.
Hotel / Conference Centre Questions
I need to have something sent to me at the conference centre. How do I do this?
There are no business centre or courier facilities at the National Arts Centre.
Please ensure that all mail & courier packages are sent to your attention at your hotel. Faxes should be sent to your hotel fax number.

I need to change my hotel dates. How do I do this and will I get a refund?
Fairmont Château Laurier: Please contact the registration department at the Foundation for all date changes. Changes are best made by writing to us at . Refunds of deposits will only be made if the cancellation is before October 3rd. After October 3rd the first night's deposit is non-refundable.
Lord Elgin: Please contact the hotel directly for all date changes.

What clothes should I pack?
It will be late fall into early winter so we suggest you bring clothes that can be layered and also include a light winter jacket and raincoat. The average temperatures are high 6°C / 43°F, low -2°C / 28°F.
How will delegates contact me?
Check our website for regular updates to the on-line Delegates List. Every registered delegate receives a Delegate List which includes the names of all those registered prior to October 3. Delegates who register after October 3 will be listed in an addendum.
