Transportation Questions

What is the best way to get from the airport to the Burlington Hotel?
Taxi service is always available. There is also an air coach direct to the Burlington Hotel from the airport every 15 minutes. The adult single fare is €6.00, and return is €10.00

Registration Questions

I have not received a confirmation letter. What should I do?
If you just sent in a registration form within the past few days, it may take the registration team a while to process it, depending on the volume of registrations received. If you sent in your registration form a week ago or more, please contact us by email at and we will send you a new one.

I've registered for News World 2003, but I can no longer attend.
Can I send someone else in my place?
It depends on your registration type. If you registered at the Early Bird Rate, your registration is transferable before September 5 for a fee of €65/$100 CDN. After September 5, if you registered at the Early Bird Rate, your registration is transferable with an upgrade to the Full Rate, for a fee of €65/$100 CDN. If you registered at the Full Rate, your registration is transferable anytime for a fee of €65/$100 CDN.

I've registered for News World 2003, but can no longer attend.
Can I get a refund and how?
It depends on your registration type. The Early Bird Rate is non-refundable. If you registered at the Full Rate, you may request a refund up until September 30. To receive the refund, send your request in writing to and it will be processed for a €65/$100 CDN fee.

Where do I pick up my registration package?
Registered delegates may pick up their registration packages and badges in the lobby of the Burlington Hotel during these times:
   Monday: noon - 1930
   Tuesday: 0730 - 1800
   Wednesday: 0730 - 1800
   Thursday: 0830 - 1400

Can I purchase a registration on-site?
Yes, registrations are available on-site.

Social Events Questions

What do I wear to social events?
Dress for the Pinnacle Systems Welcome Reception and the Reuters Reception is business attire.

Do I need to bring my badge and tickets to social events?
All delegates must wear their badges and bring their tickets to social events.

Hotel / Conference Centre Questions

I need to have something sent to me at the conference centre. How do I do this?
Please ensure that all mail & courier packages are sent to your attention to the address below with "News World 2003 Delegate" indicated on front of the correspondence. It is not necessary to have your room number on the parcels.

Are there business services available?
Yes. Hours of Operation: Open Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1800.

I need to change my hotel dates. How do I do this and will I get a refund?
Changes are best made by writing to us at . Refunds for deposits will only be made if the cancellation is before September 16. No-shows and date reductions will not be refunded if less than 72 hours notice.

General Questions

What clothes should I pack?
Mild temperatures are common in Ireland (autumn is generally 50F/10C). The climate can change however so it is advisable to bring a warm jumper (sweater) and rain coat. Showers may occur at any time of the year, but generally do not last very long.

How will delegates find me?
There will be a message board near the registration desk for hand written messages.

How do I know who is attending the Conference?
Every registered delegate receives a Delegate List which includes the names of all those registered prior to publication date. Delegates who register after this date will be listed in an addendum.
