Registration Questions

I have not received a confirmation letter, what should I do?
If you just sent in a registration form within the past few days, it may take the registration team a while to process it depending on the volume of registrations received. If you sent in your registration form a week or more ago, please contact us by e-mail at and we will send you a new one.

I have registered for HISTORY but I can no longer attend.
Can I send someone else in my place?

Yes you can. If you registered for the Early Bird rate, registration is transferable until October 24 and is subject to a €65/$100 CDN handling fee and must be requested in writing. If you registered for the Full Rate, your transfer request must be submitted to us in writing and is subject to a €65/$100 CDN handling fee.

I have registered for HISTORY but I can no longer attend.
Can I get a refund and how?

It depends on your registration type. If you registered for the Early Bird rate, your registration is non-refundable. If you registered for the Full Rate, you may request a refund until November 12, 2003. To receive the refund, please send your request to us in writing and it will be processed for a €100/$150 CDN handling fee.

Where do I pick up my registration package?
As a registered delegate you may pick up your registration package

Can I purchase a registration on-site?
Yes, Full Rate is available on-site.

Social Events Questions

What do I wear to social events?
Dress for all evening events is business attire.

Do I need to bring my badge and tickets to social events?
All delegates must wear their badge to all social events; without it you may be refused entry to the event. Social events are reserved for registered delegates and their guests only.

Hotel/Conference Centre Questions

I need to have something sent to me at the conference centre, how do I do this?
Please ensure that all mail, courier packages, and faxes are sent directly to your hotel. For those staying at the Hôtel Lutetia, faxes should be sent to one of the two numbers listed below:

Are there business services available at the Hôtel Lutetia?
Yes, the Business Centre is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00. Services include: Rental of various audiovisual equipment and mobile phones, High speed internet access, Secretarial support, Photocopying and Printer.

I need to change my hotel dates. How do I do this?
Please contact the registration department at by November 12, 2003.

I have registered for HISTORY but I can no longer attend.
Can I get a refund on my accommodations at the Hôtel Lutetia?

If you cancel your reservation 7 days or less prior to your arrival, your credit card will be charged for the entire stay that you had booked.

General Questions

What clothes should I pack?
The climate in the early part of December in Paris is very cool. The average daytime temperature is 7°C with an average evening temperature of 2°C. Pack warm clothes - and don't forget your umbrella!

How will delegates find me at the festival?
Every registered delegate receives a Delegate List which includes the names of all those who registered prior to November 12, 2003. Delegates who register after November 12 are listed in an addendum which is widely circulated during the event.
