Daryl Karp
Daryl Karp joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as its new Head of Factual Programs in November 2001. For five years prior to this, Daryl worked with pay television and managed her own production company where she executive produced BBC's Back to the Floor and for PBS Children's Hospital to name a few. From 1995 to 1997 Daryl was the Head, and Executive Producer, of ABC TV's Science and Features Department, and prior to that was the Head, and Executive Producer, of ABC TV's Documentaries and Features Department. Daryl is a founding member and director of the World Congress of Science Producers and a board member of the Australia Korea Foundation. Her accolades include two awards for Best Science Film at the New York Film Festival for Black Holes and The Search For Extra Terrestrial Intelligence; Best Film at the CNRS Science Film Festival with The Search for Gravity Waves; and Grand Prize at the 2002 Beijing International Science Film Festival for Alien Underworld. |
