Beth Hoppe
Beth Hoppe is Executive Producer and Director of Science Programs at Thirteen/WNET New York, which she joined in 1998. In this capacity she is seeking to continue their tradition of presenting top quality documentaries to viewers nationwide. She was the executive producer for Thirteen's Emmy-nominated Frontier House. Additional credits include executive producer of the Peabody Award-winning The 1990 House, The Secret Life of the Brain, Secrets of the Dead, Secrets of the Pharaohs, Warship, Taxi Dreams and the Savage strand. Beth is currently overseeing several major science series in the Thirteen pipeline. Prior to joining Thirteen Beth was a series producer for NOVA at WGBH in Boston. She also produced and directed several key programs in the series including Avalanche!, Great Moments from NOVA hosted by Bill Cosby, and The Universe Within. Her career has also included directing The Ten O'Clock News in Boston and editing the weekly newsmagazine New Hampshire Journal. |
